Have You Heard About Project Gutenberg?

Project Gutenberg is the first producer of free high quality ebooks and is run by thousands of volunteers. They even have periodicals (magazines). Project Gutenberg was launched by Professor Michael S. Hart in July 1971 and the project really expanded in 1990 with the introduction of the world wide web. There is no fee no matter how many books you download. Their ebooks are free in the United States because each book's copyright has expired, but they might not be free of copyright in other countries. Readers outside of the United States must check the copyright laws of their countries before downloading. Ebooks are in many languages: Languages with more than 50 books:

The Project Gutenberg Literary Archive Foundation is a non profit 501(c)(3) educational corporation so if you make a donation, it is tax deductible.You can help in other ways to digitize more books (http://www.pgdp.net) and record audio books (http://librivox.org).
Another way to help is by becoming a Distributed Proofreader

Help to complete projects. Take a look at the list of missing pages and maybe you can find some of them. Promote Project Gutenberg on your web site
